| Kennedy is sleeping now which is about the only time I have to be on the computer! :) Lots has been going on since I last wrote. Kennedy is now busier than ever. She is running around and I never have a spare second. She is now (finally) weaned. It feels so good not to have to worry about that any more. She did great with it too! 13 months is a long time to breastfeed, but it was completely worth it! Jake and I took a small trip to Branson on the 4th. We only spent one night away...that's all I could be away from Kennedy for now. It was my first time to be away from her for more than a couple of hours. We did have a great time. We stayed at the Hilton Promenade at Branson Landing. It was a super nice room. We ate at DQ for lunch...my request. Then we did lots of shopping. Kennedy got a ton of stuff (like she really needed it). I got some new clothes and a new Coach bag and umbrella. I am addicted to Coach bags and have 7 already, but I can't help myself. We ate at Joe's Crab Shack for dinner and it was yummy. The new Branson Landing is really a neat outdoor mall with some neat shops. Well, I guess that is about all. Next week I am headed back home to visit my friend Staci and her new twin baby boys. They are coming on the 15th at 8:00. I am so excited to see them! | | |
| Kennedy's first birthday party went wonderful. She had lots of family and friends to help her celebrate and she got way too many toys! We took Kennedy to the zoo last week and she had a lot of fun. The apes and tigers were her favorite animals. I took my GRE last week and did very well. I was so happy to have that test over with. Now, I am all set to start graduate school. Jake took a vacation week last week, so we had him here with us and it was very nice. We are going to Branson on the 4th to go shopping. Kennedy is staying with Nana and it is the first time I have ever been away from her. I am excited about going, but nervous about being away from her. Hopefully, we will find some clothes for her...(like she needs any more). Here are some pictures of the beautiful girl!

| One year ago today I was anxiously awaiting my baby Kennedy's arrival. I was eating everything in site because I was going in to the hospital the next morning and couldn't eat after midnight. I was eating dinner with my whole family because everyone had come in for Kennedy's birth. I remember that I didn't sleep at all that night. Seriously, I got 30 minutes of sleep. I woke up at 4:30 so I could get ready to be at the hospital by 6:00. I had no idea what I was in store for. And, I also had no idea how much I could love somebody. I can't believe my baby is going to be a year old tomorrow at 4:13 p.m. I had no idea how much joy and happiness this "unplanned blessing" would bring into my life. I cannot imagine my life without her. She decided she didn't want to go to sleep tonight after eating, so I let her stay up with me. As crazy as it sounds, I don't want to put her to bed because I know she will wake up tomorrow and be 1. I can't stand for her to grow any more. She is sitting in the floor playing with her two favorite things: the remote control and the cell phone. She loves to use the speed dial and call people. She called Dad twice today and Mom once. Well, I am going to go love on my sweet girl. She has been in a mood lately to be rocked. So, I have gotten to hold and rock her for an hour today...I loved every minute of it! Having her birthday party on Saturday, so will post pictures of it later! Could anybody reading this please take a minute and say a prayer for my friend Staci. She is pregnant with twins and just found out she has gestational diabetes. She also has a 3 year old to run around after. She is due in August, but the babies are scheduled to be delivered mid-July. Thanks! | | |
| Well, it has been quite a while since I have updated. Kennedy is almost 10 months old and is growing like crazy. For her 9 month check-up she weighed 18 pounds and was 28.5 inches long. She is crawling everywhere and pulling up on everything. I never have a spare moment anymore. I am always chasing after her. She loves food!! She wants a bite of everything that I am eating. The doctor was a little concerned because she has not gained very much weight, so she did an anemic test just to make sure she wasn't anemic. And, she is not thank goodness! Since she is so active, she thinks she is just burning off everything she eats, or she said she just might be small framed like me! I still call her my chuncky monkey though! She is very vocal now - mamama. I never thought I would get tired of hearing that. Every morning I am greeted by her sweet little smiling face peeking over her crib! It is definately the best thing to wake up to. She has two bottom teeth now. She waited until 9 months to cut any teeth. Still no top teeth, but I am not complaining. I am gearing up to go back to school in the fall. I will take my GRE Psychology subtest April 12th. Here are some pictures of the beautiful baby:
Playing her Baby Grand Piano - she loves music!

"Result of mommy kissing Santa" - thanks Aunt Morgan Sorry that my posts have been few and far between....Kennedy takes up most of my day! She is now 7 months old. She says "mama" on a daily basis. She has said "dada" before but not too much. Kennedy's first Christmas went well. She got way too much stuff thanks to everybody! I had to come home and find a place to put all of it. We have been pretty lazy here lately with not too much going on. I have been studying for the GRE which I will take sometime soon, and the GRE Subject Psychology test. I have to take both of them so I can get into graduate school. I will be going back in the fall to get my Ph.D. in psychology. I can't wait to start back, but am nervous about having to leave my baby. Oh, congratulations to my friend Staci who is having twins in August! Here are some pictures of my beautiful girl. | | |
